New Direction: Submissions & A Widget

March 12, 2009

I’ve been lax on updating this blog. This is largly because I had never intended LinkLove to be a blog that would update you on the best places and practices of Link Journalism. I will probably continue to do that either here on on my personal blog site… most of all at newassignment.net, which is a very noble site with a great purpose.  But I’ve known almost immediately after starting this blog that I wanted to shift gears to reflect the lack of money and time that would have been provided had I been awarded funding from the Knight News Challenge.

On Saturday, my friend Jim Porter and I going to try out a new platform that will help gather Nashville media and give users a real chance to participate in how that news is given to them. I’m also on the lookout for how to build a widget that would do everything I’ve described before, but only for cheap and/or free.

The LinkLove project is happening. That I can promise you.
